The companies that built this moment have treated governance like an inconvenience, safety like a PR risk, and transparency like an optional feature. That approach has already failed.
Talentless AI will not operate in that vacuum.
We believe creative freedom and public safety can coexist. We believe innovation should serve citizens, not blindside them. We believe the future of synthetic media demands a new public contract, one where transparency is a baseline expectation and governance begins at the root of the system rather than as a reactive filter.

Why These Commitments Matter
The commitments we make below reflect how a creative studio working at the edge of synthetic media can operate responsibly without slowing innovation. These principles guide not just our output, but how we participate in the broader ecosystem of platforms, algorithms, and public discourse.. This is our line in the sand.
1. The Synthetic Era Is Now A Civic Reality
People live in a world where they cannot assume that what they see is a faithful record of events. High-fidelity video tools have made deception simple and detection difficult. Truth has become contested frame by frame. Institutions that rely on visual evidence are struggling to keep up.
This goes far beyond storytelling or brand strategy. It reaches into civic life, public safety, and how communities understand what is happening around them.
Shrugging at this shift is not neutral. It leaves the public exposed and invites panic, rushed regulation, and further erosion of trust.
2. Governance Has Been Handed To Private Companies, And It Shows
The largest tech platforms and model providers are quietly running their own internal rulebooks. Filters decide which prompts are allowed. Classifiers decide what content is "dangerous". Closed review processes decide what stories can be told and which ones are never allowed to exist.
At the same time, many of these same companies resist meaningful transparency around training data, resist independent auditing, and resist clear obligations when their systems cause harm.
They hold power over expression while distancing themselves from responsibility for outcomes. That imbalance is not healthy for art, for politics, or for the people who live inside these systems every day.
3. Transparency Is The Foundation Of Trust
Deepfakes, political manipulation, stolen IP, and non-consensual imagery share one thing in common: people cannot see the chain behind the content. They do not know what model created it, what data helped train that model, or how the platform decided to amplify it.
Without transparency, the public is left guessing. Lawmakers overcorrect. Creators are blamed for using tools they never designed. Victims of abuse struggle to prove what happened.
With transparency, there is at least a starting point for accountability. People can tell when something is synthetic. Creators can understand the tools they use. Platforms can be held to standards that are visible and inspectable.
At the center of our view is a simple idea: people deserve to know the source and nature of the image, clip, or recommendation in front of them.
4. Regulation Has To Start At The Root, Not At The Last Frame
Most debate around AI video still circles around the output. What is allowed. What is blocked. Which prompts trigger refusal messages.
That is the narrowest part of the pipeline.
Real governance begins much earlier:
How and where models are trained
What kinds of data are included
What rights are respected or ignored
How the public can see, question, and challenge those choices
From there it extends outward into deployment: safety checks, independent testing, watermarking, and clear labels. Then it continues into liability and redress when harms occur.

5. Algorithms And Platforms Are Part Of The System, Not Bystanders
AI tools are one part of the story. The algorithms that rank, recommend, and distribute content are the other half. A transparent model with an opaque feed is still a black box to the public.
The same expectations we place on generators should apply, in adapted form, to the platforms and infrastructure our work runs on:
Recommender systems should be subject to scrutiny when they amplify synthetic content in ways that mislead or cause harm
Platforms should be clear about when AI-generated material is being boosted, down-ranked, or labeled
Data about audiences and creators should not be exposed in ways that put people at risk, whether through careless policy changes or quiet experiments
This is an ecosystem, not a single tool. Transparency must travel with the content. It should be possible for a citizen or a regulator to trace not only how a piece of synthetic media was created, but also how it was delivered, ranked, and targeted.

Speaking to Creators
Synthetic media is a new medium, and creators deserve clarity, stability, and honest tools. We believe that governance done well strengthens creativity instead of limiting it. Our approach is built to protect the people who make things — their rights, their safety, and their ability to work in an environment where audiences can trust what they see. Wherever our presence shows up – on our own channels, on client platforms, or on social networks – we will push for clearer standards and we will follow them ourselves.
6. Platforms Should Not Be The Censors, But They Are Not Exempt
We do not believe that private companies should dictate which political stories, metaphors, or visual narratives are acceptable. That kind of control belongs in open public debate, under transparent law, not inside undisclosed corporate policy.
At the same time, platforms cannot pretend to be neutral carriers. They decide which tools to integrate, which watermarking standards to adopt, how to respond to abuse, and whether to cooperate with independent audits.
Our view is simple:
Platforms should not be culture’s referees
Platforms must participate fully in provenance, detection, and accountability
Platforms must be held responsible when they ignore known risks and harms
Synthetic media is now part of civic infrastructure. Anyone who profits from it shares in the duty to keep it from becoming a weapon against the public.
Our Commitments
Talentless AI works at the front edge of synthetic media. We do not control the base models or the global platforms, but we control what we make, how we make it, and how honest we are about it.
These are the principles we commit to publicly.
What We Will Do
1. We will clearly disclose when content is generated, assisted, or edited with AI.
In our own channels and in client work, we will be explicit when synthetic tools are involved. We will avoid vague or misleading language.
2. We will use provenance and labeling features wherever they are available.
If a tool supports C2PA or similar standards, we will turn those features on. If a platform offers a way to mark content as AI-generated, we will use it.
3. We will treat synthetic media as a civic force, not just a creative shortcut.
For work that touches politics, public issues, or sensitive topics, we will consider downstream impact, not only narrative or aesthetics.
4. We will honor consent, likeness, and the dignity of real people.
We will not fabricate speech, actions, or intimate situations involving real individuals without their clear permission.
5. We will support independent safety evaluation and transparent governance.
When regulators, standards bodies, or researchers move toward audits and disclosure rules, we will align with those efforts instead of working around them.
6. We will seek arrangements that support, rather than erase, human creators.
Wherever possible, we will advocate for models and licensing structures that respect the value of the creative work they are trained on.
7. We will be clear about our presence across the ecosystem.
Where our content appears, we will push for honest labeling, avoid tactics that conceal its synthetic nature, and communicate with clients about the governance expectations that come with using our work.
What We Will Not Do
1. We will not create political deepfakes designed to deceive.
Satire, critique, and remix are part of a free culture. Deliberate impersonation that aims to trick voters or audiences is not something we will produce.
2. We will not create non-consensual synthetic intimate content.
No exceptions.
3. We will not hide behind the phrase "the model did it".
If we commission, prompt, edit, or release it, we accept responsibility for the outcome.
4. We will not use tools or pipelines that are built to evade safety and provenance.
Looking Ahead
The synthetic era will define how societies understand truth, how institutions earn trust, and how future generations learn to navigate a world where anything can be generated. The work we do today sets the precedent for the next century of media, politics, and public communication. We intend to help build that world with clarity, integrity, and responsibility.
